deaR diaRy...

i'm in a betteR mood le... the secRetaRy of mR. mah has sent an appeal letteR to SBS tRansit ltd on behalf of my dad.. i'm supposed to heaR fRom them in 2-3 weeks time... but well.. i think it's still going to be a futile attempt.. nvm..

with RegaRds to the title, i thought i've spent so much money on my haiR such that i should actually dedicate an entRy foR haiR expenses.. haha..

foR those of you who doesn't know.. i've wavy/cuRly haiR since i was boRn... and i hated those cuRls as much as those stRaight-haiR ppl who hated stRaight haiR... it was moRe of a tRouble foR me than just fashion.. (ok.. fashion does play a paRt) but i hated it when eveRything juts out of place.. as a Result, i spent much of my youngeR days plaiting my long and cuRly haiR in fRont of the miRRoR.. i neveR let my haiR down cos i'll look like a monsteR.. haha... and i neveR daRed to cut my haiR any shoRteR than shouldeR length... cos my haiR will then cuRl inwaRds and make my head look like a big mushRoom.. =( it was a dReam.. a dReam to have my haiR stRaightened.. a dReam i nv thought would become a Reality...

of couRse becos i was still veRy young in those days.. i knew nothing bout technology... heez... i vaguely RemembeR when i was in secondaRy 2 then i heaRd bout haiR Relaxing... but was told that it was only a tempoRaRy measuRe to keep haiR Relatively stRaighteR foR a shoRt time.. oh well.. and i didn't had that kind of money to spend in those days...

and then Rebonding Ruled the haiR fashion duRing secondaRy 3/4.. i was elated.. i heaRd that it lasts foR much a longeR time and makes haiR VERY STRAIGHT.. haha.. but still.. my motheR would never give me that money to Rebond.. and so i waited...

i RemembeR going Rebonding at supeRcuts with peiwen Right afteR O levels... heez.. i neveR undeRstand why ppl like pw with Relatively stRaight haiR wants to Rebond.. haha.. it was an expensive one.. costing $300? man... vomits blood.. haha.. fiRst time i spent so much money.. but well.. cos i dun cut my haiR foR yeaRs, i saved a lot of money on cutting haiR.. hehe..

i RemembeR smiling fRom eaR to eaR afteR that.. and the next day when i went to school, chenchin saw me and said i've become much pRettieR.. =p (okay.. even though that meant i was veRy ugly befoRe.. =p) fRom then on, i Regained much confidence in myself... hahaha...

the effect was good! though some ppl said it was too aRtificially stRaight.. but i liked it that way!! the stRaighteR, the betteR! it lasted foR almost a good 2 yeaRs and the effect woRe off... the cuRls weRe coming back... my confidence level dRopped and i became unhappy wheneveR i comb my haiR... it was back to the days that i had to use lots of wateR to keep my haiR in place..

i was devastated wheneveR someone tells me my haiR is no longeR stRaight.. yeah man.. that extReme.. haha.. the day befoRe A levels was Released (also the day afteR i quitted my job at This Fashion), i went to Rebond my haiR.. some cheap lobang Recommended by peiwen..

and when i met deaR the next day at plaza singapuRa, he was smiling fRom eaR to eaR.. saying "Rebond haiR mei2 mei3.." haha... he has always disliked my messy and cuRly haiR mah... =p

but the happiness did not last long.. just few months afteR.. eveRything was back to squaRe one.. and in a moment of Rashness, i went to Rebond my haiR foR a thiRd time on 26th decembeR 2004 (think so..) when jeselyn, my DHL supeRvisoR, commented, "xiuting, ni2 de4 tou2 fa4 yeu4 lai2 yue4 kiu2(cuRl) le..."

i decided to go back to supeRcuts foR Rebonding.. it costed me $260.. bout theRe lah... and ta da! my haiR is once stRaight again... =p

till now, i still fantasize having shoRt haiR but neveR had that kind of couRage to do so.. hence, i've always kept my haiR long... and stRaight.. =p i RaRely tie up my haiR.. foR feaR that it'll just become wavy again.. unless i have complicated lab sessions when i'm foRced to do so... oR when i'm eating... otheR than that... i love my stRaight long haiR! =p
