deaR diaRy,

i woke up at 6am this moRning despite it being a satuRday... and i woke up feeling all fidgety... ha.. was so neRvous bout the impending dental visit...

i left home at 720am and Reached tampines polyclinic at bout 726am... and theRe was alReady a veRy long queue theRe... initially i thought the queue was meant foR those seeing doc and not dentist.. so i didn't queue up.. i had called the day befoRe and the Receptionist told me to go at 730am mah... but i read the opening houRs foR the clinic and it was 8am.. so i pResumed i didn't have to queue.. theRe wasn't any sign explaining anything oR whatsoeveR.. luckily i didn't went too eaRly.. when the nuRse came to open the dooR, she chased me to queue up... SIANZ.... had to join in the supeR long queue which of couRse by then was much longeR than befoRe... aRgh.. sianz...

anyway, i also dunno what i joined the queue foR... they weRe queuing foR a numbeR to see the doc.. when i Reached the counteR, the nuRse told me to go to the 3Rd flooR... i was quite pissed off xia... when i went up, theRe weRe alReady seveRal ppl theRe.. i took the 2nd last numbeR fRom the counteR which Read "7".. i was like.. "oh my.. will i get to see the dentist? the Receptionist had told me theRe aRe only 2 dentists today and whole lots of appointments..."

i think they'Re quite inefficient... they only staRt woRking at bout 830am leh... i was getting impatient le and yet they weRe taking theiR own sweet time.. sianz.. i still had tuition in the afteRnoon mah.. then the Recep staRted to call ppl's name and ask them to come anotheR day... luckily she didn't call me.. *phew*

i waited foR 2 houRs sitting and Reading doRemon comic (i can't find a decent stoRybook in my house.. haha..).. then my numbeR blink on the digital ReadeR and i went in....

this young man.. the dentist.. gReeted me... and i was suRpRised by theiR dRess code... they weRe wRapped fRom head to toe.. as if they weRe doing suRgeRy lah... haha.. quite funny.. but i thought okay lah... wait so long got shuai4 ge1 enteRtain also not bad... hahah.. =p

he staRted by asking me my name and what i was theRe foR... then ask me whetheR i can speak english... i was like DUH?!?! i've been speaking english all the while!!! ha.. think he still half asleep... when he asked me what pRob i had, i said, "i'm heRe to get a RefeRal letteR foR wisdom tooth extRaction.. i'm expeRiencing pain on my gum because my left uppeR wisdom tooth is biting into the gum all the time and also causing ulceRation.. my left loweR wisdom tooth is paRtially out, not causing discomfoRt but is out of alignment... left loweR 2nd molaR got decay.. not suRe whetheR due to the wisdom tooth gRowing out of line..." he then did a check of my teeth foR less than a minute, then said to me exactly what i said to him.... i was like DUH!!! that's what i said!!! but i didn't say anything lah... then he ended the shoRt 5 minute consultation by saying he'll give me a RefeRal letteR...

a shoRt 5 minutes to heaR him Repeat what i know and what i said to him... and it costs me $20.50.. then i got to book anotheR appointment with NDC(national dental centRe), which has minimum consultation fee to be $31 and i'm expecting them to say the exact same stuff to me.. i Really.. cannot toleRate the fact that i'm spending $51.50 to heaR them Repeat what i say... dentists aRe such bloody money suckeRs!!

i couldn't change the appointment date which is set on monday 3pm.. means i got to take half day leave fRom woRk.. then if extRaction on the same day, got to take few moRe days MC cos my face would be swollen like a pig(yes.. laugh all u want.. i'll be laughing at you when u extRact uRs) and i wun be able to talk.. theRe goes $$... haiz.. sianz... no choice... the pain is eRoding my mouth wall le...

i hope i can do the extRaction and the filling on monday togetheR... they betteR not tell me to book anotheR date foR extRaction and YET anotheR day foR filling.. i'm NOT going to pay them $62 moRe just because they want me to go anotheR day... bad thing is if i'm not undeRgoing suRgeRy, i can't use my medisave to pay.. =(

aRgh... i just hope to get this oveR and done with!!!! even though it'll cost me a BOMB...
