a little bit bout school...

okay.. yes.. i'm going to complain bout the NUS tutoRial balloting system as expected.... today was the day foR RegisteRing foR tutoRial balloting.. i had lectuRe in the moRning so i had to wait afteR lectuRe befoRe i could RegisteR... befoRe i went to RegisteR, eveRyone in the lectuRe was alReady mumbling to each otheR, spReading the news that CORS system is down.. tRue enough, when i went to science lib with kaiyan and anthony to tRy, the system was down.. i see eveRyone panicking and pacing aRound the libRaRy... some of them, like us, was almost pulling ouR haiR out.. ha...

theRe was extension of Round 1A to 7pm instead of 5pm.. then fuRtheR extension to 6am tml... then moRe extension to 9am tml... can imagine the fRustRations of all the students... of couRse lucky ones like Ronglun and yunRou(sc2211 couRse mate) managed to get in in the moRning... and i Realise one thing... how come it seems like only the yeaR 1 can get in?

my fRiends and i weRe even postulating that it's the yeaR 1s fault.. afteR all, we've been using CORS foR the past 2 sems, nothing like this happened... to think this is just tutoRial balloting... it isn't even fiRst come fiRst seRve basis... ha...

talking bout fiRst come fiRst seRve.... i went foR the 2nd hand book sale... half an houR eaRlieR, the queue was alReady almost neaR the staiRs neaR canteen when the queue staRted at LT24.. hoRRendous... lots of yR1s befoRe me(could see fRom the text they bought)... didn't get my book afteR all... the only 3 books weRe bought by my OG mates in fRont of the queue... sianz... wasted tRip to school...

sold accounting text foR $24... thought the pRice was a bit low... but well.. i just wanna get Rid of the text... and need the money!!!

going to buy moleculaR biology of The Cell which costs $96.60(pRomotional pRice).. can't find 2nd hand book leh... but i still think too ex le... =/ waiting to see anyone wants to sell...

as said eaRlieR, biocomp is hell... i'm still quite lost.. but at least i have a muggeR as a fRiend whom i can ask foR help... he helped me a lot in undeRstanding what's going on last lectuRe.. haha... thanx! basically it's bout downloading this bio softwaRe and Run it in linux.. leaRn how to use commands and stuff... up till this point still like that only lah... gonna be woRse when the bio paRts come in... like how to cReate 3D images of pRoteins.. ha.. die...

cell biology is quite okay... but i think the lectuReR is a bit fast... can't catch up... a lot of A level foundation RequiRed.. and i RegRetted lending my A level notes to eunice.. ha.. cos i can't Revise!! meanwhile wait till i buy The Cell then Read thRough.. the good thing with the text is it can be used foR at least 3 modules...

biochem is okay... but TOO LATE... at 7+pm i was almost dozing off in class le cos lessons staRted 8am in the moRning... so tiRed... lessons end at 8pm on 2 consecutive days somemoRe.. sianz...

Reason and peRsuasion is... tough. what else? philosophy module... not Really my cup of tea... taking it cos kaiyan is taking it, can fit into my time table well, and is one of the few modules i have enough points to bid foR... BIDDING SUX, i wanna say foR the dunno how many time... Reading plato and socRates who aRe just bo liao ppl talking bout GOD all the time... is it because God loves that's why it's good oR is it good that's why God loves? lots of aRguments with no conclusion at all... ha... heaRd fRom anthony that his fRiend got unsatisfied foR this module... =/

medical sociology.. anotheR boRing module... like Reason and peRsuasion, the lectuReR loves to mummble... nothing inteResting bout lectuRe.. i find it veRy difficult to maintain focused... concentRation span now is still only bout 20 minutes.. haha...

that's bout the modules foR this sem... NOTHING i like this sem at all... fiRst sem in yR 1 i had ComplementaRy medicine and health, sem 2 i had human anatomy that i Really liked... this sem... haha... lots of day dReaming in lectuRe liao..

of couRse, it's always good to have muggeRs as fRiends... besides being able to answeR uR doubts in the module, they also give peeR pRessuRe just nice to make me feel like studying to catch up.. then again, i'm not the type who'll pia cos they'Re smaRteR and moRe diligent than me... ha.. heck!!

ahh... school.... hmm... now i miss woRk...
