met up with wen last night afteR tuition... had a nice time chatting bout lots of stuff... talking with deaR is neveR the same as talking with fRiends.. =)
deaR has been Reminding me that i have neglected my fRiends... can't help it... besides a hectic study schedule, i spend whateveR little fRee time i have foR tuition.. when i have some time left, i just feel like going home to spend time with my family....
so now, i'm tRying to meet up with my fRiends wheneveR possible... =)

my decembeR oveRseas tRip has been confiRmed!!!! YEAH!!!!
went to the NATAS tRavel faiR with deaR today afteR tuition... met luis theRe.. and think we also saw my tax manageR gladys fRom faR.. got a shocked.. then i was like tRying to siam heRe and theRe to avoid being see by heR else we'll be the office talk of the day on monday... =x besides sutee, nobody fRom the office knows we'Re in a Relationship... and i would like things to stay that way...
we fiRst went to the chan bRotheRs' booth... hoRRible expeRience xia... this PRC giRl who seRved us was like veRy Reluctant... when we said we'Re planning to go taipei + hongkong foR 7 days, she took a file and flip to some bRochuRe which is taipei + hongkong foR 5 days foR us to see.. then in a veRy beh3 song4 tone, said, "so what do u want"... ??!!! we weRe like "HUH?" then asked foR pRice quote (DUH?!! aRen't eveRybody moRe inteRested in the pRice then anything else?), she said, "no.. u have to gimme uR names (implying we have to sign up with them) fiRst befoRe we quote u the pRice..."
WTH.
i was damn pissed by the seRvice.. was almost bout to bluRt out a stRing of complains but we just walked away...
went to quite a few otheR booths theRe... theRe was so many ppl aRound and we had to wait Really long foR agencies which weRe quite populaR... check out the pRice one by one... and it's amazing how these companies, the same as those we went to check out in people's paRk, pRovides the fRee and easy package to taipei + hongkong at the faiR but not when we went to ask in theiR office...
theRe was a booth on taiwan touRism pRomoting taiwan.. and it was gReat!! taiwan's the only countRy with a booth theRe... and we just went theRe and took eveRy bRochuRe and guide book and maps lying on the table.. haha.. make ouR $3 entRy fee woRth! =x no lah... all the mateRials weRe Really useful!! much moRe useful than the books we boRRowed fRom the libRaRy... so we've got the taiwan map, cuisine guidebook, shopping guidebook as well as scenic spots and places of inteRest guides... good! =p
we went to the SA TouRs booth last cos it was the only company which quoted us a pRice when we went people's paRk.. so we wanted to compaRe with otheR companies fiRst.. and just as what was pRedicted, the pRice just got cheapeR and cheapeR as we pRoceed fRom booths to booths... afteR a long 3-4 houRs, we went back to the SA TouRs, and was quoted the cheapest pRice. =x
S$1043 foR 7 days tRip: 5 nights in taipei + 2 nights in hong kong... some companies quoted almost $1300 loh.. weRe hesistating whetheR to go hong kong oR to skip it... cos going taipei alone foR 6 days only cost $811.. $200+ diffeRence woR... but decided to go in the end anyway... asked foR 11th dec depaRtuRe.. but appaRently, theRe's no moRning flight... and cos we'Re taking cathay pacific, we have to tRansit at hongkong and the whole jouRney actually take bout 7 houRs.. so if we take afteRnoon flight, it's like wasting one whole day on the plane... 12th dec's moRning flight was also all taken up... so we had no choice but to take 13th cos i wanna spend my biRthday oveRseas... theRe wasn't a choice of choosing which countRy to go fiRst... it is compulsoRy to go taipei befoRe the fRee stopoveR at hongkong when we come back...
ok.. many people has been wondeRing why we aRe going hongkong again... well.. it's just foR 2 nights.. deaR almost despeRately wants to go lantau island to see his big big buddha (ha! anyway, this time can take cable caR in! cool!).. i want to eat my maxim RestauRant's dimsum again... both of us wanna go to the peak again cos we didn't stay theRe long last time due to the oveRwhelming fReezing weatheR.. and this time we could visit the wax museum since it was undeR Rennovation last time! i wanna go to the avenue of staRs again at night.. the last time we didn't stay till night cos deaR was sick and we had a quibble.. i wanna eat my lovely wanton mee again!! theRe'Re like soooo much RegRets that i wanna go back and do!!

signed up a tRavel insuRance with AIG foR S$27.60 foR a classic plan... quite extensive coveRage and the pRice was afteR a 40% discount... didn't want to tRouble deaR's sis again, so we signed up theRe as well...
