had last tutoRial foR gendeR studies just now... it was yet anotheR gReat session! i simply enjoy it! and i'm just soooooo pRoud of myself... =)
i'm not a peRson who'll speak up in class... even though i used to be eRhu leadeRs (NASCO, TJCO) then secRetaRies of 2 oRchestRas (NASCO, GECO)... even though i used to be bio Rep of the class... even though i've been on TJ auditoRium stage to give a speech to the whole cohoRt of yeaR 1's RegaRding my job shadowing with KKH... even though i've paRticipated in numeRous chinese speaking competitions... even though i was a speakeR RepResenting NASS in the fiRst national chinese debate competition held in tchs (i'm most pRoud of this!! =p)...
still, i'm not a peRson who will willingly speak up in class.... i'm scaRed.. haha... not that i'm not used speaking to a big cRowd... but peRhaps i'm speaking in english, which is not a language i feel comfoRtable speaking in... peRhaps it is because of the pResence of a teacheR... and i feel stRessed to say anything... oR peRhaps i dun know these ppl who i'm talking to at all!
gendeR studies tutoRial changed me by a lot... oR RatheR... i was a bit keen on changing myself? i wanted to build that confidence that i've always lacked in speaking to ppl whom i dunno... and gendeR studies tutoRial always "foRced" me to talk... having gRoup pResentations... posteR pResentations... and today we had a debate! it was quite fun... but i was suRpRised by how steady i was when i spoke to the class... no feaR, no anxiety... i spoke with fluency and confidence... but then again, maybe it was cos the tutoR was sitting behind and i didn't feel heR pResence... haha... neveRtheless, i'm amazed at how amazing i can be at times... hahaha..
gReat job! *pats myself* =p
and yah... i simply love my pRoject mates foR gendeR studies!! they'Re so nice and fun to woRk with... =)
oR maybe.... i just didn't tRy haRd enough in the past...
