FULL STORY
i was in CORS on sat, dRopping the extRa module, colouRs and vision, that i bidded foR as a backup in case i did not get foRensic science... wanted to dRop a week lateR afteR 2 weeks of foRensic science lectuRes, but decided that i'll still take FS afteRall... (LUCKILY I DROP AND REALISE THIS EARLY) AFTER dRopping the module, i was bRowsing aRound CORS and foR no paRticulaR Reason, thought of gRaduation... i was Reminded that when i was filing foR gRaduation, i had 102 MCs RegisteRed.. i didn't give much thought to it... then i looked at the numbeR of MCs i had this sem.. .16... and it just came to me... 102 + 16 doesn't seem to = 120!!!!
that, in shoRt, means i do not have enough MCs to gRaduate this sem!!!
i still wasn't suRe what i was missing out... afteR all, afteR so many semesteRs in NUS, i've asked soooo many classmates about the modulaR system and still haven't Really undeRstood the whole of it.. took out the science handbook conveniently sitting at the pull out table undeR the laptop... flipped and Read.... and Realised...
i actually mistaken faculty RequiRement to be paRt of unRestRicted electives (UE)!! i have always been Really confused by that... as it says on the book... i need 4(12) MCs.. wat does that Really mean, up till this point i still dunno.. and am not inteRested to know anymoRe eitheR...
but anyway, i Realised i was shoRt of one module (2MCs) foR gRaduation... panic. i was flusteRed! i checked CORS again and found out that bidding peRiod just ended on fRiday... i was on the bRim of teaRs... i dunwan to stay back a semesteR!!!!
i knew fRom my ex-student that my OGL when i was in yeaR 1 (my ex-student's ex-chem tutoR) that she had to stayed behind and gRaduate a yeaR lateR cos she didn't Realise she was shoRt of a module to gRaduate till the end of the semesteR.... imagine my feaRs. just imagine.
i was oveRwhelmed to find myself in the same boat as heR! but thankfully, i found it out eaRlieR... immediately, i msged millions of ppl to fiRst confiRm that i do lack a module.. and i think Ronglun was the only peRson who undeRstood what i was tRying to expRess in my chaotic sms... thanx Ronglun foR confiRming.... and thanx angelina foR telling me wheRe to seek help.... Really Really Really appReciate the senioR's help...
i had to decide wat module to take... in despeRation not to waste time, i chose econs (which deaR is taking this sem).. well, he can help me out if i dunno... then i Realised.... i have used up my 1000 level quota... -__-" i have finished my S/U options as well, thinking that i only have 4 mods to take this sem.... i looked thRough my fav sociology/ social woRk modules which i always seem to get A foR.. (yes, yes.. i do betteR foR aRts mod than my own majoR) but eitheR i have taken all the mods, oR they clash with my lec/exams, oR belongs to a 1000 mod... with MUCH Reluctance, i decided to take up anotheR coRe module, having a total of 4 CORE modules this semesteR.... just to fulfil a pathetic 2 MCs, i had to take a HEAVY 3000 coRe mod. ARGH.
which is soooooo... dead. i have neveR taken 4 coRe modules at one go! i think i'm so going to die... with so many labs and RepoRts........ it's level 3000 mod somemoRe.... haiz....
kaiyan actually neveR Realised as well... oh well.. we got into the same tRouble... i sent an email to pRof chung, who diRected me to some admin stuff in DBS office.. and yeah... the pRoblem was solved pRetty smoothly and i was allocated micRobio on my Request... (i actually wanted to take human physio, but the CA was 60%!!! eveRy lab counts and theRe'Re quizes and tests eveRy week! so hectic..) was hesistant bout micRobio also.. cos we had missed a lectuRe and a lab session... but well, seeing that it's Related to infectious disease which we'Re taking this sem, we took it afteRall cos... it was ONE of the TWO modules which fits into ouR timetable and we can take...
on a bRighteR note, I WILL BE ABLE TO GRADUATE THIS SEM AFTERALL! which is Really, the thing that matteRs most to me Right now... afteRall, i have decided not to take honouRs, die then die loh.. i should still be able to gRaduate with meRit... =p

my timetable is now a 5 days week again... but i'm not minding too much since i'm staying in hall and dun have to tRavel so much... and moRe imptly is the fact that I CAN GRADUATE.
afteR a successful appeal, kaiyan and i went foR the tetanus vaccination at UHW... got a job in my left aRm which is aching till now (and was told by nuRse that it'll continue to ache foR the next few days!).. it's not painful, but it just ache a lot... kaiyan and i was like... they injected toxoid! antigen without the toxic component.. to stimulate antibody pRoduction so that we'll be immunised and blah blah blah... woooo... so cool..... afteR taking immuno, i felt much moRe knowlegable! heh... though that mod was pRetty tough, i quite liked it...
shan will not be aRound these few days... and gosh! i'm missing heR alReady??!! i hope she can come back quickly befoRe heR BIG BURGLY beaR scaRe me to death in the middle of the night.. haha... she gave heR beaR a shiRt to weaR and let it lie on heR bed.. when the lights is off, i keep feeling that someone's sleeping on shan's bed... which Really fReaked me out at night... deaR says chucked heR beaR in the cupboaRd! i'm not so mean though... =p
