TRAPPED IN THE LIFT! RIGHT IN NUS!
deaR and i weRe mugging in the quiet science libRaRy (hey! why medical libRaRy so full, no one wants to go science lib?) foR ouR mid-teRm tests next week these few days... lunch time came, and we went to take the lift outside the science lib...
the lift came fRom 6th flooR.. and theRe was a guy in theRe when it opened foR us at level 4... we went it, the dooR closed.. i looked at the lift buttons and wondeRed why the guy didn't pRess any levels at all, but pRoceeded to pRess Basement level. the lift howeveR, went up to level 6 again! the dooR did not open, then plunged (well, it felt that way) to Basement.. didn't open, went up to level 4, then 3, jeRked, went up to 6 again, then the scReen staRted to flash 6 and B alteRnatively...
me? i held on to the Railing foR my deaR life.. hahaha...
deaR was calm, and pRessed and hold the alaRm button as though as he finally had the chance to play with the button.. haha..
it was a dReam come tRue! i told deaR.. i have had dReams of me stuck in a glass elevatoR which plunges up and down without waRning and the dooR Refuses to open.. diffeRence lies in the lift i dReamt was the one outside my home.. well.. when the eveRy-flooR-lift was fiRst built and Ready to be used, i once encounteRed it jeRking and like plunge one flooR oR something like that? that explains why i have fRequent nightmaRes of of me tRapped in a plunging lift.. that is also why, wheneveR i enteR a lift with Railings by the side, i neveR fail to hold on tight.. =x
back to the stupid lift in science.. it finally opened up at level 4 again.. and we quickly dashed out and took the otheR lift down... to think the lift was just in maintainence yesteRday! afteR lunch, we saw seveRal ppl in the lift at basement level, with the lift dooR half closed and stuck in that position.. if i weRe them, i would quickly come out.. but they kept tRying (i saw them fRom a distance lah).. then afteR a while, they gave up and came out...
i think foR the Rest of my education in NUS, i WILL RefRain fRom taking THAT LIFT again. foR youR infoRmation if u'Re planning to do the same as me, it's the lift on youR RIGHT as u appRoach the lift.. =p
and a totally iRRelavant note, i may be getting anotheR tuition assignment!! i have FINALLY, afteR much peRsistance, found a bio tuition assignment.. diffeRence is.. the student is a MALAY BOY.. hmm... Really, i pRefeR to teach giRls cos i think i can communicate with giRls betteR.. and well, since the student's not a chinese, i must RefRain myself fRom using too much singlish and chinese in the middle of my sentences.. =x it seems that this boy is pRetty picky and has changed 3 maths tutoRs! going foR a tRial lesson next sat... if he decides not to have me as his tutoR, i Really.. dun mind that much.. =x
if i get to continue, it'll be gReat too! extRa income foR me.. =)
