it's Really shiok to be thinking that, while i'm alReady blogging fRom my hall Room, the Rest have just embaRked on theiR long jouRney home/camp.. =x
just came back fRom NUS choiR conceRt.. not that i am active in the aRts fest.. but RatheR to suppoRt zhongxian who's in the choiR..
it was pRetty good.. except foR the fact that all the songs sounded veRy chRistian to me (some Really weRe.. some i wasn't suRe).. nonetheless, it was a gReat peRfoRmance put up by the NUS choiR.. way above my expectation of the conceRt.. =x nelson kwei was the conductoR! that was a pleasant suRpRise, and i thought my sis would love to see him again.. mR nelson kwei was the diRectoR of the pRimaRy school choiR both my sis and i weRe in.. and also conductoR of TPJC choiR which my sis used to be in..
the sops aRe GREAT. veRy poweRful singing.. the choiR was veRy clean.. but theRe weRe songs when the lead couldn't be heaRd lah.. oveRall quite good.. =)
heaRing the choiR sing made me veRy nostalgic.. haRz...
i had the fiRst peRfoRmance of my life (not counting the lame kindeRgaRten gRad peRfoRmance) on stage as a choiR membeR.. and i had numeRous peRfoRmances and competitions then.. and we all eitheR won fiRst oR gold.. haha.. maybe that's what made me competitive in CCA.. i have had compeitions and peRfoRmances as well in chinese dance when
i was in pRimaRy school.. (and i neveR foRget how chenchin teased me foR tying 2 buns on my head and having thick makeup that made me looked like a panda.) CCA aside, i've took paRt in many Reading (in chinese lah, what do u expect) competitions that i have to speak on stage.. subsequently in secondaRy and JC, chinese oRchestRa gave me lots of competition and peRfoRming chances...
and now, i feel the need to go on stage...
i Really do, enjoy the attention i get on stage! =x
we had family steamboat on satuRday.. and the 2 jianhaos joined us (my deaR, sis's deaR.. same name.. lol) upon mom's invitation... i ate till i was sooooooo supeR full loh... heh.. moRe impoRtantly, i was happy to be able to spend time with mom who took off on sat night.. haven't seen heR foR 2 weeks!
nothing much to blog bout.. CA Results have been disappointing... like i always say.. i'm just an aveRage student.. my Results usually dun fluctuate much aRound the 50th peRcentile.. sianz..
