if theRe is one language that i wan to leaRn, it would be sign language.

i have developed a liking foR sign language since the secondaRy school days, when my fRiends and I came up with a set of sign language of ouR own.. fRom time to time, we would communicate with each otheR using sign language, signalling acRoss the bomb shelteR in the middle of CO pRactices.. ppl would be wondeRing what we weRe "talking" bout.. but it soRts of became a pRivate language foR us then...

when i was in JC, we had this oppoRtunity to take up vaRious couRses afteR ouR pRomos (if i'm not wRong)... couRses such as yoga and sign language and many otheRs which i can no longeR Recall.. of couRse, i just had to seize the oppoRtunity to engage myself with some pRofessionals and took up the sign language couRse with a few otheR fRiends.. it was a shoRt 1 oR 2 houR session when we had this speakeR whose husband couldn't speak.. theRe was this guy who was Really heaRing impaiRed that came as well.. and while the speakeR taught us how to socialize with such ppl (like not tapping on the peRson's back, instead, move to the fRont so he can see u).. i actually felt sad foR him.. while he walked down the staiRs of the LT, he made a lot of noise but we all undeRstand that he couldn't heaR it..

and so theRe was one point in time, i told myself that i wanna take up a sign language couRse, leaRn it well, and be a volunteeR to the heaRing and speech disabled young kids...

it neveR did came tRue though... oR RatheR, not yet.. foR one i was shy to take up a couRse alone, anotheR because of the cost factoR...

till now, i appReciate sign language as a foRm of non-veRbal communication..

at least, between deaR and me, it is..

eveRytime afteR we have a tiff oveR some matteRs, and when woRds only make one moRe aggitated, he would say soRRy to me in sign language (with fist clenched oveR the heaRt similaR to taking pledge, make 2 clockwise ciRcles)...

and i would just, melt.

it always seem so much moRe sinceRe when a peRson uses sign language.. =)


p.s. i hope you wun abuse the use of sign language afteR Reading this post! =p


on a side note, exams have staRted foR deaR and he has finished 2 papeRs... he would have only 2 papeRs left even befoRe the staRt of my papeRs next tue... -_-" i'm staRting to panic now... that i haven't felt like i was in the least Really studying at all foR the past week.. foR the RecoRd, i still have not touched 3 modules, bRiefly Read thRough one, and halfway thRough anotheR... the thought of gRaduation and the end of examinations is so oveRwhelming that i can't get myself down to something constRuctive... =x

and i got a phone call fRom IBN 2 days ago RegaRding the Resume i sent them... foR wat? to ask foR my CAP..

"oh.. we'll contact you again if you aRe shoRt listed."

do i Really have to go into pRoduct specialist (sales)??
