inteRview with HA yesteRday was a weiRd one.. hmm.. otheR than a few questions asking me bout my passion and aRea of inteRest, the Rest of the time weRe mainly spent on intRoducing me to the diffeRent positions and the way they woRk, talks bout the shift houRs and night duty, telling me the benefits and stuff... it was... moRe like an oRientation (as if i'm alReady employed) than an inteRview..

i like the lab manageR a lot.. haha.. i emailed the lab manageR to expRess my inteRest to join.. he gave me a chance foR inteRview, and was a fatheRly figuRe thRoughout the whole inteRview.. veRy nice and fRiendly.. =) so weRe the 2 otheR inteRvieweRs..

the lab is a bit small.. and as it's a clinical lab and not a ReseaRch lab, it's 24 houRs thRough 7 days.. if i opt foR the peRmanent night shift, i'll get a pRemium, meal and shift allowance.. what's moRe, night shift = 9pm to 8am, BUT only foR THREE nights peR week!! fRee foR the Rest of the week!! sounds like a good deal isn't it? but afteR consideRation, i dun think i'll take up the night shift.. foR one i dun Really think i can stay awake foR one whole night.. also, i dun wanna woRk while deaR is fRee, and be fRee while deaR is woRking/ studying.. still, even the noRmal shift RequiRes a few night shifts peR month..

what i felt was Really weiRd was that the lab manageR bRought and showed me aRound the lab.. hmm.. Really felt like he was oRientating me aRound.. heh.. though i'm oveRqualified foR the position, they aRe willing to consideR me.. he explained to me bout the gRading system they have.. and it seems like the job pRospects aRe quite good.. at least i have a chance of pRomotion RatheR than being stuck in that position.. =)

still, the lady inteRvieweR asked foR my uni tRanscRipt.. =x they wanna see whetheR i have enough foundation foR the job... i think they'll think again bout employing me when they see my Results IF i eveR get a second inteRview with them.. =x





cos i was feeling all mouldy fRom slacking at home, i decided to look foR temp job.. but which temp job will allow me to use the phone duRing woRk as i wish (to ans call asking me to go inteRview), let me take off anytime i need to go foR inteRview, and let me quit as soon as i find a peRm job?

this is when connections aRe useful.. =) i'm glad i always have a good Relationship with my supeRioRs (and colleagues lah!) which eveR company i go to, and kept in touch with them.. i sms jeselyn to ask whetheR DHL wanted to employ, she Replied theRe isn't, but heR hubby company wants.. heR hubby had helped me RepaiR my old desktop foR fRee when i was still woRking in DHL and is a nice man.. so glad foR theiR help.. =)

and so, i went down to the company today... Winson electRical engineeRing & co.. and when i Reached the building, i felt a sense of familiaRity.. it's the same building as the one wen is woRking in! what a coincidence.. haha.. good good.. got company foR lunch!! =) had to wait 1.5houRs cos the peRson was late... but it's a wait woRth it since they aRe willing to give in to me... =) teRRibly small office theRe.. but the pay is at least okay.. not as much as what weatheRfoRd pays, but betteR than nothing.. =)

staRting woRk next monday cos deaR and i have alReady booked badminton couRt foR tmR.. =x deaR will be staRting woRk on monday at weatheRfoRd as well.. heh.. but i have to woRk on alt satuRdays too.. but nvm.. since i so fRee anyway... =p and it'll keep me occupied when deaR goes back foR In-camp-tRaining (ICT) the week afteR..




whole family's going out foR dinneR tonight!! =D
