i check my woRk email about once eveRy 4 months.. =x mostly cos we don't woRk at a fixed teRminal eveRyday, and the only stand alone pc that can have access to email is most of the time used by the senioR stuff who does a lot of admin woRk (oR slacking).. i was woRking full day yesteRday which happened to be a RatheR fRee sunday in the afteRnoon.. so afteR i RepoRted 2 positive dengue cases to MOH which could also only be done on that paRticulaR teRminal, i decided to check my email...

229 unRead emails.

=x i Read thRough those Related stuff.. and Realised aRound one month ago, theRe was an email asking me to collect my phlebotomy ceRt.. =x no wondeR i was wondeRing why i didn't get any ceRt...

anyway, the last email was send by M, which Roughly Reads...

chemistRy meeting on monday, compulsoRy foR all chemistRy staff and the following staff:

MY FULL NAME
PD's FULL NAME

which is RefeRRing to today.. i was caught by suRpRised, yet glad that i chose the Right time to check my email.. haRz.. was discussing with aunty LC what the meeting might be about.. and i thought they weRe going to pull me in chem.. =( was so unhappy.. the whole woRld knows i hate chem!!

anyway, it ended up to be a meeting initiated by uncle (with fRee subway lunch tReat fRom uncle as well.. =) yeah! haha..).. he dRew a new oRganisation chaRt on the white boaRd.. and i saw my name undeR both special haematology and geneRal haematology.. the only name to appeaR twice on the boaRd.. =) and as he went bout the new duties we have to take up and masteR befoRe the tRansition to up noRth, he made special mention of me having gReateR Responsibilities and woRk load cos i was the only one with dual Roles.. also, special haem will be an aRea that they'Re going to expand and concentRate on foR the next few yeaRs..

i was so happy i DO NOT HAVE TO BE IN CHEMISTRY! and yes, veRy glad foR the chance uncle is giving me to pRove myself.. hope i don't disappoint him and myself.. and yah.. though i keep saying and thinking i won't stay long.. maybe it will tuRn up otheRwise.. wheRe else can i find such good oppoRtunities? =)

thalassemia.. electRophoResis... HPLC.. flow cytometRy... i have so much moRe to Revise and Read up on befoRe moRe new instRuments come... i don't want to be labelled as incompetent!! =x

and of couRse! knowing ppl i don't like aRe (almost) all choosing to stay behind is an added good news to heaR.. heh...

2 yeaRs.. maybe i Really will stay and move up noRth! =p







the futuRe now definitely look less bleak than befoRe.. =)
