i was E1 yesteRday, which means haem 8am.. but i had to coveR blood bank duRing theiR one houR lunch bReak at 1pm.. i went oveR, Ritch told me theRe's a bleedeR.. i was still feeling sleepy and bluRRy afteR taking a RatheR full lunch.. and i thought she was joking.. =x
just in the one houR i was theRe, i issued 6 pints of blood and 4 units of FFP.. it was cRazy man... that patient kept us busy the entiRe afteRnoon and i stayed in BB to help till i left.. when i left, the patient was still bleeding, afteR taking 18 pints of blood, 4 units of FFP, 4 units of platelets, and 1 albumin.. 10 cRyo was on the way, we oRdeRed anotheR 10 pints of blood to standby...
it was so exciting!!! a Race against time~ =p good expeRience, but i RatheR this not happen often.. =x
it's kind of funny when u see eveRyone's Reaction afteR handling a known hiv positive blood.. we had one that day.. i told mao mao, "are you suRe u dun wan to weaR gloves?" he quickly went to take gloves.. eveRy single peRson who pRocessed the sample changed gloves immediately afteR last contact with the sample.. =x
it's kind of sad that i have no contRol oveR my life at all... my life is being manipulated by a peRson i hate most.. and i can't change my shift cos it's night shift... so i'll have to spend the most special day sleeping at home in the middle of my fiRst and second night.. =( =( =(
